وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَى

وَالنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّى

وَمَا خَلَقَ الذَّكَرَ وَالْأُنثَى

إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّى
5
فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَى وَاتَّقَى

وَصَدَّقَ بِالْحُسْنَى
7
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْيُسْرَى

وَأَمَّا مَن بَخِلَ وَاسْتَغْنَى

وَكَذَّبَ بِالْحُسْنَى

فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْعُسْرَى
11
وَمَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُ مَالُهُ إِذَا تَرَدَّى
12
إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَى
13
وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْآخِرَةَ وَالْأُولَى
14
فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًا تَلَظَّى
15
لَا يَصْلَاهَا إِلَّا الْأَشْقَى
16
الَّذِي كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّى
17
وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا الْأَتْقَى
18
الَّذِي يُؤْتِي مَالَهُ يَتَزَكَّى
19
وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُ مِن نِّعْمَةٍ تُجْزَى
20
إِلَّا ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ الْأَعْلَى

وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضَى

Par la nuit quand elle enveloppe tout !

Par le jour quand il éclaire !
3
Et par ce qu’Il a créé, mâle et femelle !

Vos efforts sont divergents.

Celui qui donne et craint (Allah)
6
et déclare véridique la plus belle récompense
7
Nous lui faciliterons la voie au plus grand bonheur.
8
Et quant à celui qui est avare, se dispense (de l’adoration d’Allah),
9
et traite de mensonge la plus belle récompense,
10
Nous lui faciliterons la voie à la plus grande difficulté,
11
et à rien ne lui serviront ses richesses quand il sera jeté (au Feu).
12
C’est à Nous, certes, de guider ;
13
à Nous appartient, certes, la vie dernière et la vie présente.
14
Je vous ai donc avertis d’un Feu qui flambe
15
où ne brûlera que le damné,
16
qui dément et tourne le dos ;
17
alors qu’en sera écarté le pieux,
18
qui donne ses biens pour se purifier
19
et auprès de qui personne ne profite d’un bienfait intéressé,
20
mais seulement pour la recherche de La Face de son Seigneur le Très Haut.
21
Et certes, il sera bientôt satisfait !

      and That which created the male and the female,

      surely your striving is to diverse ends.

      As for him who gives and is godfearing

      and confirms the reward most fair,
      7
      We shall surely ease him to the Easing.

      But as for him who is a miser, and self-sufficient,
      9
      and cries lies to the reward most fair,
      10
      We shall surely ease him to the Hardship;
      11
      his wealth shall not avail him when he perishes.

      Surely upon Us rests the guidance,
      13
      and to Us belong the Last and the First.

      Now I have warned you of a Fire that flames,

      whereat none but the most wretched shall be roasted,

      even he who cried lies, and turned away;

      and from which the most godfearing shall be removed,

      even he who gives his wealth. to purify himself

      and confers no favour on any man for recompense,

      But as for him who hoardeth and deemeth himself independent,

      And disbelieveth in goodness;

      Surely We will ease his way unto adversity.

      His riches will not save him when he perisheth.

      And lo! unto Us belong the latter portion and the former.

      Therefor have I warned you of the flaming Fire"

      Which only the most wretched must endure,

      In the name of the most merciful God.

      BY the night, when it covereth all things with darkness;
      2
      by the day, when it shineth forth;
      3
      by his who hath created the male, and the female:
      4
      verily your endeavor is different.
      5
      Now whoso is obedient, and feareth God,
      6
      and professeth the truth of that faith which is most excellent;
      7
      unto him will we facilitate the way to happiness:
      8
      but whoso shall be covetous, and shall be wholly taken up with this world,
      9
      and shall deny the truth of that which is most excellent;
      10
      unto him will we facilitate the way to misery;
      11
      and his riches shall not profit him, when he shall fall headlong into hell.
      12
      Verily unto us appertaineth the direction of mankind:
      13
      and ours is the life to come, and the present life.
      14
      Wherefore I threaten you with fire which burneth fiercely,
      15
      which none shall enter to be burned except the most wretched;
      16
      who shall have disbelieved, and turned back.

      But he who strictly bewareth idolatry and rebellion shall be removed far from the same;

      who giveth his substance in alms,
      19
      and by whom no benefit is bestowed on any, that it may be recompensed,

      but who bestoweth the same for the sake of his Lord, the most High

        внидет в раи.

        А которыи не твоирт волю божию

        поидет во ад, и его богатство не спасет,

        И тако егда творим человеком,

        разполагаем о начале и конце, всех вещеи :

        3.  Per eum, qui creavit masculum, & fœminam.

        4.  Certè studium vestrum est sanè dissimile.

        5.  Porrò qui dederit Deo id, quod debet, & timuerit eum.

        6.  Et professus fuerit optimam religionem.

        7.  Facilitavimus ei viam ad Facillimum (idest ad Paradisum ).

        8.  At verò, qui avarus fuerit, & divitias cumulare studuerit.

        9.  Et, ut falsum negaverit id, quod est optimum (nempè unitatem Dei ).

        IV.  Certè studium vestrum est sanè dissimile. ] Quia scilicet alii benè, alii malè operantur : alii fideles sunt, alii infideles.
        XVII.  Piissimus. ] Putat Gelal per hunc Piissimum notari Abubacrum, cognomine الصديق , Veracem, seu Justum  : ita enim habet : وهذا نزل في الصديق رضي الله عنه لما اشترى بلالا المعذّب على ايمانه واعتقد فقال الكفار انّما فعل ذلك ليد كانت له عنده فنزل , &c. Hæc dicta sunt pro Veraci faustæ memoriæ. Nam, cùm is emisset Belalum, qui pro fide suæ torquebatur ab infidelibus, & liberasset eum, dixerunt infideles : Certè hoc fecit ob utilitatem, seu lucrum, quod speravit ab eo, ad verbum ; propter manum, quæ erat illi apud eum. Quamobrem dicitur hìc de eo : Et non est ulli ab eo aliquod beneficium, quod remuneretur, idest nulli benefacit ob spem remunerationis ab eo : sed tantùm ob spem pręmii à Deo recipiendi.

          I. Trino juramento per res satis disparatas, nempè per noctem, quandò est obscurior, per diem, quandò est clarior, & per creatorem masculi, & fœminæ, utitur Deus, ut homines credant, se esse inter se dissimiles in studiis suis. Verùm, quis, nisi insanus, possit hac de re dubitare ? Frivolum igitur, atque otiosum est hujusmodi juramentum, quod etiam per res frivolas, & inanes, ac superstitiosas assumitur. Licèt enim tertia vice Deus in testem videatur adhiberi : non tamen intelligi potest, cur Deus ille advocetur in testem, qui creavit masculum, & fœminam, non verò is, qui universa creavit.
          II. Immeritò Alcorani expositores censent, non esse in Gehennam detrudendos, nisi, qui mendacii Mahumetum insimulaverint, & in eum credere recusaverint. Qua enim ratione quis credat in eum, vel veracem illum putet, qui in suo Alcorano tot mendaciorum, atque errorum reus deprehenditur ?
          III. Si Piissimus ille, cujus fit hìc mentio, & cujus laudes adeò celebrantur, juxta Expositores, intelligitur esse Abubacar, evincitur manifestè, Mahumetum Prophetam non fuisse, qui non præviderit, Abubacrum contra fas omne, & jus post mortem suam summum sibi imperium usurpaturum, in quo ipsemet successorem suum toties Alym destinaverat.

              سورة الليل

              «والليل إذا يغشى» بظلمته كل ما بين السماء والأرض.

              «والنهار إذا تجلى» تكشف وظهر وإذا في الموضوعين لمجرد الظرفية والعامل فيها فعل القسم.
              3
              «وما» بمعنى من أو مصدرية «خلق الذكر والأنثى» آدم وحواء وكل ذكر وكل أنثى، والخنثى المشكل عندنا ذكر أو أنثى عند الله تعالى فيحنث بتكليمه من حلف لا يكلم لا يكلم ذكرا ولا أنثى.

              «إن سعيكم» عملكم «لشتى» مختلف فعامل للجنة بالطاعة وعامل للنار بالمعصية.

              «فأما من أعطى» حق الله «واتقى» الله.
              6
              «وصدَّق بالحسنى» أي بلا إله إلا الله في الموضوعين.
              7
              «فسنسيره لليسرى» للجنة.
              8
              «وأما من بخل» بحق الله «واستغنى» عن ثوابه.
              9
              «وكذب بالحسنى».
              10
              «فسنسيره» نهيئه «للعسرى» للنار.
              11
              «وما» نافية «يغني عنه ماله إذا تردَّى» في النار.
              12
              «إن علينا لَلهدى» لتبيين طريق الهدى من طريق الضلال ليمتثل أمرنا بسلوك الأول ونهينا عن ارتكاب الثاني.
              13
              «وإن لنا للآخرة والأولى» أي الدنيا فمن طلبهما من غيرنا فقد أخطأ.

              «فأنذرتكم» خوفتكم يا أهل مكة «نارا تلظى» بحذف إحدى التاءين من الأصل وقريء بثبوتها، أي تتوقد.

              «لا يصلاها» يدخلها «إلا الأشقى» بمعنى الشقي.
              16
              (الذي كذب) النبي (وتولى) عن الإيمان وهذا الحصر مؤول لقوله تعالى: "" ويغفر ما دون ذلك لمن يشاء "" فيكون المراد الصلي المؤبد.

              «وسيجنبها» يبعد عنها «الأتقى» بمعنى التقي.

              «الذي يؤتي ماله يتزكى» متزكيا به عند الله تعالى بأن يخرجه لله تعالى لا رياء ولا سمعة، فيكون زاكيا عند الله، وهذا نزل في الصدّيق رضي الله عنه لما اشترى بلالا المعذب على إيمانه وأعتقه، فقال الكفار: إنما فعل ذلك ليد كانت له عنده فنزلت.

              «وما لأحد عنده من نعمة تُجزى».

              «إلا» لكن فعل ذلك «ابتغاء وجه ربه الأعلى» أي طلب ثواب الله.

              «ولسوف يرضى» بما يُعطاه من الثواب في الجنة والآية تشمل من فعل مثل فعله رضي الله تعالى عنه فيبعده عن النار ويثاب.
